Crixa Cakes: Berkeley, CA

My first Hungarian/Russian/Central Europe bakery ever....and it was soo good!!!!

I love to collect the stickers off of bakery boxes :D

 Spoils of the day

Flodni (pronounced: flowed knee): The Hungarian Trinity - Apple, Poppyseed, and Walnut - layered with flaky, butter pastry. Understated sweetness, toothsome and filling.

Gosh dang it I forget what this is called, but it was a chocolate sponge cake with a cheese based (?) cream with some dried fruits and with rose water (?) Whatever it was, it was good.

Pave Vergiate: Flourless chocolate cake: Love pave!! Dense but light :D

What I love about this bakery is that it's different and not too overly sweet! Going back later for black forest cake....MmmMMmm
